A major international trading company is seeking a Senior Cash Management Coordinator to provide temporary support to its Treasury Operations team during an employee leave of absence. The successful candidate will support day-to-day cash management and treasury operations, including daily cash positioning, funds transfer preparation, cash reconciliation, foreign exchange transaction preparation, general ledger entries, and related reporting. START DATE: ASAP

HOURLY PAY RATE: $40/hour

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

WORK ARRANGEMENT:
Primarily onsite, 5 days per week at the company’s New York City office.

For highly qualified candidates, some flexibility regarding the onsite requirement may be considered.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Japanese language ability is not required.

POSITION SUMMARY

A major international trading company is seeking a Senior Cash Management Coordinator to provide temporary support to its Treasury Operations team during an employee leave of absence.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day cash management and treasury operations, including daily cash positioning, funds transfer preparation, cash reconciliation, foreign exchange transaction preparation, general ledger entries, and related reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Cash Position Reporting

• Monitor intra-day cash activity using internal treasury and banking platforms.

• Update daily cash position reports with incoming and outgoing cash transactions.

• Maintain an accurate view of company-wide cash balances, including opening balances, outgoing payments, financing transactions, loan activity, foreign exchange settlements, and other fund movements.

Intra-Day Payment Monitoring

• Review intra-day bank activity to confirm that approved and forecasted payments are processed by financial institutions in a timely manner.

• Identify and promptly report unusual delays, missing transactions, or discrepancies requiring further investigation.

Prior-Day Cash Reconciliation

• Update and reconcile prior-day cash activity using bank statements and internal treasury reports.

• Ensure cash position records accurately reflect transactions, account balances, and fund movements.

Spot Foreign Exchange Transaction Preparation

• Prepare spot foreign exchange transactions to support non-USD payment requirements.

• Enter transaction details into internal treasury systems for review and execution by authorized Treasury personnel.

Bank Account Transfer Preparation

• Prepare bank-to-bank and intercompany fund transfer requests within internal treasury systems.

• Coordinate transfer information for review and execution by authorized Treasury personnel.

Additional Treasury Support

• Process and support general ledger entries related to cash management activities.

• Provide cash management support to internal business and administrative teams and selected subsidiaries.

• Assist with account balancing, settlements, and treasury-related reporting.

• Prepare analytical and management reports as needed.



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Approximately 2–3 years of corporate accounting, treasury, or finance experience preferred.

• Preferably at least two years of tenure with one employer.

• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including general ledger entries.

• Foundational understanding of corporate finance.

• Some cash management or treasury operations experience required.

• Account reconciliation experience preferred.

• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international business environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive financial transactions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is an immediate temporary opportunity expected to last approximately six weeks. The assignment may be extended depending on the circumstances of the employee leave and business requirements.

The position is currently expected to be onsite five days per week in New York City. However, candidates with particularly strong qualifications who require some flexibility regarding the onsite schedule are encouraged to inquire.

Japanese language proficiency is not required.
