Manager, System Implementation & Operational Support

A major global system integrator is seeking a Manager, System Implementation & Operational Support, to join its Enterprise Solutions team in New York.

The company provides a wide range of IT services, including IT consulting, digital transformation, data analytics, AI solutions, ERP selection and implementation, cloud, network and security solutions, IT outsourcing, financial industry IT services, and new technology research. The company serves as a strategic technology partner to clients by providing end-to-end IT solutions and operational support.

This position is responsible for leading team members in analyzing, creating, modifying, and maintaining application systems to meet client and user needs. The role will also oversee and optimize end-to-end SAP application operations to ensure system stability, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead system implementation and application support projects.

Manage team members involved in software requirements analysis, system modification, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Oversee SAP application implementation and operational support.

Manage end-to-end SAP application operations to ensure system stability and performance.

Analyze client and user requirements and translate them into practical system solutions.

Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, clients, upper management, and overseas system operation teams.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, issues, risks, and communication.

Work with non-Japanese vendors and external partners to ensure successful project execution.

Support continuous improvement of application systems and operational processes.

Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate timely resolution.

Ensure that system operations are aligned with client business objectives.

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP system application implementation or SAP system application operations.

Project management experience.

Experience managing non-Japanese vendors.

Understanding of SDLC, Software Development Life Cycle.

Understanding of ITIL, Information Technology Infrastructure Library.

Strong analytical skills in requirements analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively with clients, team members, project members, vendors, and management.

Strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

クライアントおよびユーザー要件の分析、実務的なシステムソリューションへの落とし込み。

社内チーム、外部ベンダー、クライアント、上級管理職、海外のシステム運用チームとの連携。

プロジェクトのスケジュール、成果物、課題、リスク、コミュニケーションの管理。

非日本語系ベンダーおよび外部パートナーとの連携、調整、管理。

アプリケーションシステムおよび運用プロセスの継続的改善の推進。

システム障害や課題のトラブルシューティング、および迅速な解決に向けた調整。

必要な経験・スキル

SAPシステムアプリケーション導入、またはSAPシステムアプリケーション運用の経験10年以上。

プロジェクトマネジメント経験。

非日本語系ベンダーの管理経験。

SDLC、Software Development Life Cycle に関する理解。

ITIL、Information Technology Infrastructure Library に関する理解。

要件分析、保守、トラブルシューティングに関する高い分析力。

高いリーダーシップ能力。

クライアント、チームメンバー、プロジェクトメンバー、ベンダー、マネジメントと円滑に連携できる能力。

優れたコミュニケーション力、問題解決力、論理的思考力、交渉力。

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

SAP Certified Application Associate with ERP Certification preferred.

Strong English communication skills required.

Strong Japanese communication skills required to work with overseas system application operation teams.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $100,000 to $130,000.

Starting salary will depend on job-related factors, including qualifications, work experience, training, education, and skill level.
