Position Summary

A large global asset management firm is seeking a Fixed Income Credit Analyst to join its investment team in New York. The Analyst will conduct in-depth credit research and recommend investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds to outperform defined market benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental credit analysis with an emphasis on financial modeling to identify attractive corporate bond investment opportunities.

  • Prepare detailed earnings and credit reports including financial projections, credit valuation, and investment recommendations.

  • Present research findings and investment ideas to Portfolio Managers and contribute to investment strategy discussions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources to generate new investment ideas and gather market intelligence.

  • Monitor and interpret market developments and industry trends relevant to the credit markets.

  • Collaborate with global research teams, including colleagues overseas, to support global investment perspectives.

  • Provide timely and thorough research and reporting to internal stakeholders.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.

  • MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, fixed income investing, or related roles. Experience on either the buy-side or sell-side is welcome.

  • Strong financial modeling and corporate credit analysis skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel.

  • Experience with Bloomberg and other financial research tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability in company research, asset valuation, and relative value analysis.

  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present investment ideas persuasively.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative global team environment.

  • Flexible and adaptable team player.

Depending on experience and qualifications, candidates may also be considered for the Vice President level.

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000. Offers are typically not made at the top of the range. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other market factors.

In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive employee benefits package.
