Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting function for assigned entities within the organization. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, monthly closing, financial reporting, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. The position reports to senior accounting leadership and supports various accounting and finance-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Record vendor invoices and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare routine accounts receivable and accounts payable reports.
Coordinate invoice approvals with department managers.
Record issued invoices and customer payments in the accounting system.
Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, loans, and accrued expenses.
Execute and review monthly closing tasks and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
Prepare consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting packages to headquarters.
Perform fluctuation analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Review and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.
Support system enhancements and accounting-related projects.
Serve as a knowledge resource for the accounting team and internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional & Administrative Support
Coordinate with department managers regarding vendor and customer accounts.
Respond to internal inquiries related to invoicing and accounting matters.
Communicate with customers regarding invoices and account discrepancies.
Liaise with vendors regarding payments and account issues.
Provide general administrative and operational support as needed, including coordination for visitors and business travel arrangements.

Requirements
EducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience in a corporate or multinational environment preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Solid understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Experience preparing routine financial reports and maintaining financial records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Language
English proficiency required.
Japanese language skills preferred.
