A well-known international restaurant group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth execution of all aspects of restaurant management. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key part in maintaining high standards of service, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations including opening, closing, and shift management.
Ensure all operational reports are submitted accurately and on time to senior management.
Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment consistent with company standards and local regulations.
Guest Experience
Lead front-of-house staff to deliver warm, attentive, and professional customer service.
Resolve customer issues promptly and tactfully while maintaining a positive dining experience.
Collaborate with other managers to ensure seamless communication and service consistency.
Inventory and Cost Control
Manage food, beverage, and supply orders according to company standards.
Monitor inventory levels and enforce waste control procedures.
Ensure all food storage, handling, and temperature controls meet health and safety standards.
Facilities and Equipment Maintenance
Supervise upkeep of facilities and equipment to ensure optimal condition.
Implement preventative maintenance procedures to reduce downtime and maintain service quality.
Human Resources and Team Management
Recruit, train, and develop team members in collaboration with HR.
Schedule staff to meet operational and labor cost objectives.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and enforce disciplinary policies when necessary.
Ensure staff follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Leadership and Administrative Support
Support company initiatives and collaborate with management to enhance operational efficiency.
Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and customer service practices.
Perform additional duties or non-managerial tasks as business needs require.
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience (Assistant GM or equivalent).
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, cost control, and health & safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
