Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead overall restaurant operations for a well-known restaurant. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction, and driving the success of the team through effective leadership, operational excellence, and adherence to company standards.

Day-to-Day Operations 
Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Prepare and submit operational reports to senior management in a timely manner.
Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Customer Experience
Lead and inspire staff to deliver warm, responsive, and professional customer service.
Collaborate with fellow managers to maintain high guest satisfaction and efficient service.
Handle and resolve customer complaints; escalate serious matters to senior management.
Oversee and guide employees in handling cash and credit transactions.Safety & Hygiene
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant restaurant environment in line with health codes and legal regulations.
Enforce sanitation and hygiene standards across all areas of operation.


Food & Inventory Management
Manage food, beverage, and supply inventory, ensuring accurate ordering and proper storage.
Control food costs through adherence to portioning, waste reduction, and storage procedures.
Monitor food holding and refrigeration temperature logs.
Support receiving, loading, and unloading of deliveries.Product & Menu Management
Partner with other managers to plan and price menu items that align with company standards.

Facilities & Equipment
Ensure all restaurant equipment is maintained in excellent working condition.
Conduct regular inspections and follow preventive maintenance programs.

Human Resources & Team Management
Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, and scheduling in collaboration with HR.
Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and, when necessary, discipline team members.
Provide onboarding, policy orientation, and continuous staff development.
Monitor attendance, hygiene, and staff meals to ensure compliance with company policies.
Report and manage any workplace incidents following company procedures.
Lead training for new management-level staff.

Leadership & Communication
Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
Serve as a role model for company values, professionalism, and product knowledge.
Recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Perform other managerial or non-managerial tasks as needed to support operations.


Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in high-volume dining environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Working knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and reporting tools.
