Description
Logistics Coordination
Research and plan shipping routes based on cargo type and customer requirements.
Arrange packaging considering weight, climate, and nature of goods.
Prepare and review shipping documents to meet customer, insurance, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and carriers to ensure on-time, smooth deliveries.
Arrange payment of freight fees and other associated charges.
Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
Prepare and issue invoices and quotations, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Support customers with claims or shipment issues in a timely manner.
Provide accurate shipping information to customs brokers for clearance.
General & Administrative
Suggest and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
Maintain accurate records, documents, and SOPs.
Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
At least 1 year of related logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license (occasional local travel may be required).
Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
Office-based environment.
Limited local or domestic travel; no international travel required.
Required:
Bilingual in Japanese and English

Preferred:
2–3 years of experience in logistics/forwarding operations
Salary Range:
Entry-level: $53K–57K
2–3 years experience: $57K–58K
3+ years experience: $60K–62K
Bonus: Performance-based (not guaranteed)

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (lunch 30–60 minutes, flexible end time between 5:00–5:30 PM)

Reports directly to the Supervisor and Manager of the Forwarding Department.
