Job Summary:
A leading logistics company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead its freight forwarding sales team in Wood Dale, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics and supply chain solutions, combined with proven leadership, strategic planning, and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding industry.
Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure high client satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.
Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics; adjust strategies as necessary.
Stay informed on industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving new business.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to establish and maintain long-term client relationships.
English fluency required.
Employment Details:
Employment Type: Full-time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $80,000 – $150,000 per year (DOE)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Work Arrangement: In-office (potential for hybrid in future)
