A leading global financial institution is seeking a Financial Regulatory Reporting VP to manage and oversee the preparation and review of regulatory filings across multiple entities under US operations. This role requires expertise in financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial industry products, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory guidelines. The position also supports governance functions, including coordinating regulatory committees and handling external communications.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare or review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports, including Federal Reserve reports (e.g., FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009), Department of Treasury reports (TIC Reports), and Department of Commerce reports.
Reconcile reporting data to general ledger, validate static data, and conduct variance analysis.
Support governance functions, including developing training, coordinating regulatory reporting committees, and managing communication with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Monitor and implement changes in reporting instructions and accounting standards set by regulatory authorities.
Maintain and update procedural documentation related to new and existing regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Track assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred); advanced degree or certifications (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
7-10 years of experience in financial or regulatory reporting in the banking industry.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with regulatory reporting tools (e.g., Axiom) and BI tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) preferred.
Knowledge of financial reporting (US GAAP) and ability to establish proper workpapers with EUC controls.
Understanding of financial products such as loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, and money market products.
Ability to multitask and manage both production and governance aspects of regulatory reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $114,000 - $180,000 (based on experience, skills, and market factors).
