Overview

The international bank seeks individuals to join its Capital Markets Credit (CMC) team. CMC provides credit analyses and exposure management, supporting front office trading across various financial products. With teams in New York and Chicago, CMC oversees credit operations across the Americas. This role involves conducting credit approvals, drafting credit analyses, determining ratings, and making credit recommendations. Additionally, responsibilities include monitoring exposures, creating reports and presentations, supporting new business activities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective credit management.


Description


The Capital Markets Credit (CMC) team consists of experienced credit professionals responsible for credit analyses and exposure management. Supporting all front office trading activities—including fixed income, equities, futures, and structured products—the team operates across multiple locations in the Americas, with personnel in New York and Chicago.

As part of this team, you will assist in the credit approval and decision-making process for fund clients and counterparties. Your responsibilities will include drafting detailed credit analyses, determining internal credit ratings, and making credit recommendations to support front office trading. Additionally, you will monitor credit exposures, generate reports, create presentations, support new business activities, and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Responsibilities

Counterparty credit analyses (including direct client due diligence meetings)

Authoring credit reviews

Establishing counterparty credit ratings and counterparty credit limits

Trade/transaction analysis and approval

Exposure monitoring

Industry and trend analyses

Presentations to senior management

Liaison between Credit, Head Office, front office, and other internal departments

Credit Policies and Procedures – comply with and update current standards

Requirements

Qualifications

3+ years of counterparty credit experience covering funds (primarily Hedge Funds, experience with Private Equity Funds and/or Regulated/Pension Funds would be a plus). Experience should include fundamental funds credit analysis and funds due diligence capabilities.

Strong knowledge of all capital markets products, including OTC derivatives, swaps, repo/reverse repo, stock loan/stock borrow, structured products (MBS, ABS), and Futures.

Experience with negotiating traded product master agreements: ISDA/CSA, MRA, MSLA, MSFTA.

LatAm coverage experience a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s Degree (MBA a plus).

The expected base salary ranges from $90,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
