Overview

Midtown Bank is currently looking for a Project Finance Credit Reviewer with experience working in a Credit Risk Management area, preferably within a financial institution specializing in Project Finance credit analysis.


Description

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

- As a primary responsibility, prepare Project Finance credit related reports. This includes liaison with colleagues from different departments to obtain necessary information, research and analyze various data sources to obtain data and context needed to prepare reports.

- As a secondary responsibility, prepare corporate credit related reports. This also includes liaison with colleagues from different departments to obtain necessary information, research and analyze various data sources to obtain data and context needed to prepare reports.

- Establish and maintain Project Finance credit review processes and update relevant Policy and Procedures.

- Provide credit review opinions by applying credit rating models and methodologies in credit reports and targeted credit reviews.

- Communicate and lead discussion with regulators and/or auditors for the branch’s Project Finance exposure as needed.

- Analyze and verify reports for accuracy and provide remedial actions to achieve integrity before reporting to senior management.

- Liaise with stakeholders to provide analysis and data as needed.

- Preparation, presentation and discussion at monthly branch Credit committees and other meetings as needed.

- Support for other team members for such things as to cover absences and manage workload requirements.


Requirements

Position Requirements

- Experience working in a Credit Risk Management area (ideally within a financial institution completing Project Finance credit analysis) for at least seven (7) years. Within the seven (7) years, experience in a Credit Risk Management for Project Finance in the Americas for at least three years.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Strong attention to detail, strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Strong proficiency of MS Office including macros, and pivot tables in Excel.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong team player – willingness to work as part of and contribute to both the Credit Team and the wider Risk team. The bank supports a strong work-life balance environment, which requires all team members to contribute and support the team initiatives.
