Overview

Major Japanese food distribution company is looking for Purchasing Support Non-Food.


Description

Collaborate with the purchasing team to streamline procurement processes.
This includes helping with the purchase order creation, tracking and management. 
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Communicate with vendors regarding order status, pricing inquires and resolving any discrepancies.
• Establishes and maintains record keeping system for purchasing department.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Cleaning and organizing office shelves when needed.

• Collect, organize, and analyze data related to purchasing activities. Generate reports and insights to support decision-making process.

• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)

• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.


Requirements

•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.

• Ability to type 40 words per minute.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Business level English and writing skill.

• Must speak Japanese fluently.

• Participate in Food Expo once a year.

• Mandatory participation during Company Inventory twice a year. (June and December)

• College associate degree or Higher

• Working experience at Japanese Company

• Basic Knowledge if Japanese food ingredients and industry.




Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
