This position is responsible for assisting retail customers for general reservations services both in person and/or over the phone. The main products to be sold include but are not limited to domestic/international airline reservations, various optional tours and hotel reservations; domestic and international land package tours.
Essential Job Functions
Air Ticket Reservations
• Communicate with the current and potential customers, for both individual and group travels, in a timely and professional manner.
• Searches available flight information and ticket prices using Apollo system based on requested destination and travel dates.
• Seeks to determine the seat availabilities for the requested flight number by using the system.
• Understands the characteristics of all airlines in order to be able to suggest the most efficient flights for customers.
• Understands the special and discounted products to provide accurate information to the customers.
• Contacts customers to advise of changes in flight plan or to cancel or confirm reservation.
• Be able to supplement the tickets with ground transportation and insurance information by sending necessary travel documentation to the customers.
• Performs ticketing procedures when necessary.
• Make deposits for the above functions.
Optional Tour, Hotel Information and Reservations
• Checks the vacancy and reservation of optional tours and hotels for customers who have reserved packaged tours or air reservation only
• Searches availability for reservation of optional tours and hotels for customers who made the reservation for packaged tours and/or air reservation.
• Make deposits for the above function.
• Researches and compiles ideas to suggest new optional tours.
Land Package Tours Information, Reservations and Promotions
• Researches the products on the North American website in order to assist customers for reservation.
• Performs reservation procedures through the Tour Planning Department using the wholesale account.
• Plans trips, offers travel suggestions, and prepares itinerary per customers’ request and searches desired land package; if the land package cannot be provided, contact the appropriate departments to arrange alternatives.
• Make deposits for the above functions.
• Promotes and advertises the products by using traveling catalogs and related advertisements.
Corporate Client Relationship
• Communicates and establishes corporate client relationship.
• Manages and maintains business relationships with current corporate clients.
• Establishes new business relationships with corporate clients and seeks for new business opportunities.
Ensure High Quality Customer Service
• Provides feedback for other staff members on customer services procedures.
• Upholds company image and maintains the highest level of service.
Other & Miscellaneous
• Performs special projects and other duties when assigned by supervisors.

• Physical Requirements
While performing the duties, the staff member is regularly required to sit, talk, or listen. The staff member is further required to stand, walk, use hands to pick up, handle or feel and reach with arms. Occasionally, the staff member will need to kneel or crouch.
The staff member must be able to read and analyse written information on a computer terminal. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are necessary for this job.
The staff member may occasionally lift, push, pull or move other objects of at least 15 pounds.
• Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy (i.e. working in a business office with computers, printers and telephones).
The staff member must be able to travel on business or work beyond normal work hours when necessary.
