General Job Description:

The Eastern Regional Account Manager’s primary role is working with the General Manager to manage the distributor relationship in the eastern half of the United States and obtain purchase orders from existing and new wholesaler customers. 

The person is expected to work remotely, and spend most of his or her time by visiting and soliciting sales from existing and new customers in the assigned area. 

Main duties include: 
(i) communicating distributor pricing and programming,
(ii) establishing on-and-off-premises goals for distributors in an assigned region; 
(iii) participating in distributor sales meetings; 
(iv) conducting seminars for distributors and key account groups; 
(v) preparing annual budget forecast; and
(vi) conducting distributor reviews and approving the processing of billback/chargebacks in a timely fashion.

This person also works in tandem with the business partner's Eastern Regional Sales Manager to assist with management of the company's U.S. distributor network in the eastern region.



Duties & Responsibilities:

 Maximize sales potential, as measured by depletion sales within your region.

 Contact with key wholesalers on a monthly basis and maintain a long-term growth strategy to:

o Disseminate annual sales plans and assign monthly sales goals to wholesalers or sales teams for each market.

o Increase market demand and acceptance by developing and opening new accounts, and increasing sales to existing accounts and creating high volume opportunities.

o Fostering and maintain relationships in top key accounts.

o Working with sales distributors.

o Become an active member of the saké community through frequent and positive interaction with key wholesaler personnel, and key account holders in the industry.

o Develop and propose sales promotion strategies based on results of analyses that enhance the equity of the brand, and implement promotion plans.

o Develop a sales budget and substantiate budgeting needs, sales tactics and promotion strategies, pricing, on/off mix, etc.

 Manage an annual budget.

 Provide a detailed monthly market analysis of XXXX sales and a report on your activities in your territory to the General Manager.

 Position yourself as a partner to the distributor management and sales team


Requirements

Job Requirements:

 BA in Business or related field, or appropriate experience.

 Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the sake, wine, spirits or craft beer industry.

 Must have experience working in a large market wholesaler environment

 Strong relationships with distributor networks and in key on/off premises accounts within geographic region outlined above.

 Knowledge of distribution pricing strategies and ability to manage and maintain profit margin negotiations.

 Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening hours and weekends when needed. Travel is required at least 50% of the time.

 Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

 Must possess strong project management skills.

 Excellent communication skills including the ability to negotiate and mediate situations, speak to large audiences by making effective presentations and possess strong writing skills.

 Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to formulate strategies based on competitive data to meet both short and long-term company objectives.

 Excellent math skills.

 Solid computer skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Working knowledge of Diver is preferred.

 Ability to pick up and carry 40lbs.
