Overview:
Seeking a qualified Business Development and Sales Specialist to help expand our company’s reach by fostering the brand’s presence across various retail and online marketplaces. The candidate will assist in strengthening existing relationships as well as, through expert discovery and exploration, identify new and untapped business opportunities and relationships to pursue. Will require frequent coordination with various sales and operations team members.

The ideal candidate is eager to become an integral member of our Sales and Operations team. Someone with a demonstrated ability to juggle priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities—both short- and long-term. Demonstrated ability to assess, develop, and implement new strategies. Ability to take the initiative, contribute when opportunities present themselves, and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to help achieve our company’s vision.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to communicate effectively with new and existing clients, colleagues, and management

• Becomes familiar with all products, understanding features and benefits of our products, and learns how to best market them to clients

• Ability to identify trends and foresee customer needs, building short-, medium-, and long-term sales pipelines in accordance with targets

• Take lead in the developing materials for proposals and presentations to capture new business opportunities

• Develop new various vertical market by introducing our products to a variety of venues such as hotels, restaurants, organizations, etc.

• Develop sales goals for each client, and work towards meeting them.

• Develop strategies, such as mutually-beneficial promotions, with clients

• Gathers necessary information such as trading procedures, payment plans, and other types of information needed to develop business relationships with clients and shares with related departments

• Assists with the set-up of trade shows, attends shows, and invites potential customers

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Proactive Sales Activity to achieve monthly and quarterly sales target

• Create Demand Forecasts using information from potential customers

• Provide feedback on product evaluations and requirements from marketplaces as well as customers

• Establish new business strategies: Make plans, propose to management, and execute with necessary stakeholders

• Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business-development strategies, sales processes, structures, and best-practices across the company

• Manage deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis with an eye toward potential new customer growth

• Submits necessary reports to the designated personnel in a timely manner

• Provides critical feedback on product development and marketing strategies

• Controls and resolves overdue payments in coordination with sales assistant.

• Follows up with customer concerns and claims, assists in troubleshooting

• Supervises and controls sales assistants, also leads and assists them in their growth

• Analyzes sales data weekly to recognize issues and reviews them for future improvement.

Work Hours:

• Full-time position. Weekdays, 9-6pm.

• Must exhibit flexibility with schedule and tasks, dependent upon business needs.


Requirements

Qualifications: Education/Experience

• A bachelor's degree or its equivalent

• A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience

Communication Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management

Other Skills

• Strong skill for Presentation for Business and Products

• Strong desire to make the most of opportunities and ensure positive experiences for brand and its partners

• Ability to discover and manage leads and see projects through to completion

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment

• Ability to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships with the various teams

• Ability to anticipate and solve problems, make quick decisions, and overcome hardships

• Knowledge of or interest in Japanese culture or language is not required but would be an added a bonus
