Description

You will secure the business from prospective and current accounts in an effort to meet sales objectives of ceramic sand primarily in the metal casting/foundry industry through technical expertise. Responsible for researching, identifying and defining market and product application opportunities for specific customers. You will develop action plans in conjunction primarily with the metal casting/foundry market to capture identified business opportunities.  

Key Responsibility areas:

    Develop market prospects, business opportunities to generate new customer base and maintain relationships and services for previous and current customers.
    Work with customers to document needs, problems, and help management determine effective solutions through technical expertise.
    Conduct on-site product application or quality analysis to assess or solve customer requirements as required to secure business.
    Provide accurate forecast sales by customer and product on a timely basis. Forecast customer's requirements for planning and budgeting purposes.
    Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in business and product planning. Update on shipping volume, potential business and status of active pursuits.
    Provide support on logistics/transportation of the products from the manufacturing plant to customer site
    Provide support to secure customers’ payment by payment due date
    Provide input to company management about trends and changes taking place within customer's organization and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary of the company towards improving its position with the customer.
    Design and coordinate product comparison charts.
    Participate in divisional/customer meetings, trade shows and coordinate customer promotions and advertising.
    Support marketing surveys, monitor the completion and report actions and trends to management.
    Perform other job functions as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications:
    5 years of working experience in the metal casting/foundry industry.
    Undergraduate degree, BA, BS or equivalent.
    Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
    Strong technical knowledge of the metal casting. Knowledge of accounting, manufacturing procedures, data processing, quality control procedures and engineering.
    Ability to determine customer requirements and recommend appropriate pricing/discount strategies.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.
    Pro-active, result oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
    Travel, national and international is required.
    Moving may be required.
